Adventuring Parties, LLC was founded by Tavis Allison, a writer, parent, and Dungeons & Dragons fanatic. At The Mule Abides, Tavis has been blogging about his experience as a dungeon master for an after-school D&D program in the New York City public schools and at all kinds of parties: kids’ birthdays, art gallery openings, Ryan McGinness‘s Dungeons & Dragons entry in the 50 Parties series.

James_Nostack is Tavis’s co-teacher in Adventuring Parties’ original afterschool program. He’s the founder of  New York Red Box, a forum-based experiment in old-school open-table gaming that’s inspired Red Box groups in the USA, Canada, and Spain, and also of its offspring The Mule Abides.

Riley Swift is working on art for the site! His recent Dungeons & Dragons TV commercial kicked a lot of eyeballs; Riley’s Dungeon Majesty was an inspiration for Adventuring Parties.

DM Yax is helping bring Adventuring Parties to life as Tavis’s mentor. He’s best known for the Dungeon Mastering website; Yax’s Epic Vacations project was another inspiration for Adventuring Parties.
